Back in the old days in-season exhibition games (ISEG) were played by major league baseball teams for a variety of reasons ranging from raising revenue for one reason or another, good-will to their farm clubs to gauging baseball interest in possible future major league locations. Interest in these ISEG’s has waned because of the expense involved in travel and the simple fact that an off-day had to be used and the players have so few off days and they are not interested in giving them up.
My intention is to document all these games here and on my “On This Day in Twins History” pages with more info about the games and a box score if possible. If you want to see more info about a particular game just click on the date. I believe this is a current list but there is always the possibility that I missed some ISEG’s so if that is the case I would appreciate you letting me know.
