2020 – The Twins and Josh Donaldson agreed to a four-year, $92 million deal, the Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reported, that includes an $8 million buyout or a $16 million team option for a fifth year in 2024. When all is said and done the Twins got taken to the cleaners with this signing. It tops the previous biggest free-agent signing in Twins history (Ervin Santana) by $37 million.
