December 15 – This Day in Twins History

(click on images once or twice to make them larger)

2011 – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have agreed to terms with free agent outfielder Josh Willingham on a three-year, $21 million contract. Willingham played with the Oakland A’s last season. Biggest Twins free agent signing the Twins have made to date.

2010 – Yet another panel gave way and dumped more snow on the Metrodome floor as workers were trying to replace panels that had given way just three days earlier. With this additional panel tearing, there is now concern for the entire Metrodome roof and when the dome will again be operational is unknown.

2003 – The San Francisco Giants trade pitcher JT Thomas to Minnesota for outfielder Dustan Mohr. Thomas never reached the majors.
