February 21 – This Day in Twins History

1961 – The Minnesota Twins first training camp begins at Tinker Field in Orlando, Florida. The Washington Senators had trained there previously from 1936-1942 and again from 1946-1960. Tinker Field was named after Chicago Cubs HOF Joe Tinker of “Tinker to Evers to Chance” fame. Tinker Field Ballpark history.
