Jim “Mudcat” Grant pitches a complete game and shuts out the Washington Senators 6-0 at Met stadium and strikes out 6 in the process. However; what makes this game unique is that Grant gives up 13 hits (all singles) and a walk and still manages to pitch a complete game shutout.
